My artwork is of an "s." I painted it a light blue because it's one of my favorite colors. I put pictures of thing I like or like to do. I put a walleye, a deer, a cow, and a chocolate puppy. I also put a flog, a cross, a music note, and the maze runner movie series. I used paper cups and I don't know what they're called, but craft boards? to create my artwork. I also used paper tape to seal it and make it look a little cleaner. Then I painted it with gesso then painted it blue. I then mod podged images on to it. I am expressing the things I like and make me who I am. My goal was to make an artwork that showed my identity. I like how it turned out and is one of my favorite artworks this semester.

My best artwork was my fish house that I made for the architecture artwork. I want to redo my walleye that was for the plushie unit because it isn't neat and the colors don't match. I learned how to use classmates and friends for help and suggestions. I wish that we could have done more with cardboard.
Like I said in the planning blog, the two studio habits I'm using are express and envision. I am expressing the things I like or like to do. I have envisioned what I am going to do. My plan has stayed pretty much the same. I like how sharp the edges look at the moment. I still have to put paper tape on it and paint it.
My plan is to make a block letter showing the different things I like or that make me who I am. I am going to use express to show my identity and express the different things I like. I am also using envision because I have planned out pretty much exactly what I want to do. I am going to use paper cups and I don't know what they're called, but craft boards? to create my artwork. I am also going to use paper tape to seal it and make it look a little cleaner. Then I am going to paint it with gesso and add the things I like on to it by drawing them and then either painting them or coloring them with marker. I want to show how I like to hunt and fish as well as how I like my cows and my country. I also want to show other things like a music note, a cross, and my favorite movie "the maze runner." I also what to show how I want to get a chocolate lab puppy at some point in my life.
sI used inspiration from Giacometti's figures. I first used wire to get the "bones" of my figure. Then I wrapped it it tin foil to build it up and make it 3d instead of 2d. I then put mod podge and paper towel over it to seal the cracks and make it look cleaner. Next I painted it black. Finally I dry painted my figure with metallic paint to finish it. I wanted it to look sad or lonely maybe. I like the way it turned out, but I wish that I made the head a little smaller and more realistic. wI made a pinch pot with clay. I made it pretty basic except my choice of glazes. I observed closely to cracks and any bumps that needed to be smoothed out. I also reflected my process and made sure that I did the correct process. The glazers i used Blue Yonder and Seawind. My figure sculpture is inspired by Giacometti's sculptures (Understanding art worlds) My plan is to make a figure that has exaggerated features and a slim body. I am really focusing on proportions and making sure that they are as realistic as possible. (Observe)
My artwork is just painted cardboard. It has a base with pieces of cardboard sticking up from it. It is inspired by my grandpa's woods that I like to walk around in. To create it, I cut different sized pieces of cardboard and painted them either green or brown. I like the way it turned out, but it seems a little boring and the you can see the hot glue a little bit. Overall I think that I achieved what I hoped to.
My plan is to represent the woods at my grandpa's that I hunt and like to explore. I am going to do this by painting rectangular pieces of cardboard to represent trees. I think that I'm also going to do some smaller pieces of cardboard for some kinds of bushes and plants. The pieces will be glued onto a cardboard base. I am going to use Envision because I have a clear plan. I am also going to use observe to really see if I can portray my grandpa's woods. I want the color to be the most noticeable because its what makes it "woodsy."
My sculpture is of a fish house that I designed. I painted the walls brown and the roof white. I made the roof white because I wanted it to look like snow. The floors are of some sample fur or carpeting. I'm not really sure what it is exactly. On the lower level there are benches, a table, fishing holes, and a tv. Upstairs is where the bed/beds would be. I wanted to put a bunk bed, but I just didn't have enough time. Everything is made out of cardboard except under the benches is popsicle sticks. I wanted to make a fish house because I love fishing and thought that a fish house would be more fun to design than a house. My overall goal was to create an architectural sculpture and I think I did a pretty good job.
